Something not working, or not behaving the way you expected? Write in — it's a small operation and the mail comes straight to a person.

What happens to what I write?

Your notes, tasks and recordings are stored on your device. The app works fully without an account.

If you do sign in, your content syncs so it's there on your other devices — that's what the account is for, and it's the only reason anything leaves your phone. Nothing is sold, and nothing is used to advertise to you.

The full details are in the privacy policy.

How does Brain Dump work?

Tap to make a note and it lands on the wall. Drag it anywhere, pinch to zoom the whole board out, and drag on the background to pan around — the wall doesn't have edges.

A note can hold typed text, a drawing, or a voice recording. Nothing you write is filed away or sorted automatically; the wall stays how you left it.

Notes have a bit of weight to them. Drop a new one where something already is and it nudges itself clear rather than landing on top.

What are the three shelves in Tasks?

Now, later and eventually — sorted by how far off something is rather than by priority. Drag a task between them whenever that changes.

Give a task a time and it'll remind you at it. Leave the time off and it just sits on its shelf, which is the point.

Does it cost anything?

No. Try This One is free, there's nothing to buy inside it, and there's no subscription to manage or trial to cancel.

If that ever changes, it'll be said here first, and anything already on your wall stays yours either way.

Can I delete my account and everything in it?

Yes — in the app, under Settings → Account → Delete account. Your account, the backup and anything stored with it are deleted for good. It can't be undone.

What's on this phone is yours and stays: deleting the account doesn't wipe the notes already on the device. Delete the app if you want those gone too.

If you'd rather it was done for you, or something's gone wrong with it, write to the address below from the email you signed up with.

I found a bug. What's useful to send?

Your iPhone model and iOS version, what you were doing just before it happened, and whether it happens every time. A screenshot or a screen recording is worth more than all of that put together.

Is there an iPad or Mac version?

Not yet — it's an iPhone app for now. If that's what you're waiting for, say so in an email; it's the kind of thing that decides what gets built next.
